Please note

Blütengrund campsite is changing hands.

The 2026 season still runs under the current operator. Bookings and questions for this year go to them:

From 1 March 2027 Blytengrund GmbH takes over. Until then the site is being rebuilt. Pitches for 2027 can already be booked.

Camping and nature resort · Saale-Unstrut

Where the Unstrut meets the Saale.

The Blütengrund campsite near Naumburg is being rebuilt from the ground up. From 1 March 2027 we welcome guests again, on thirteen hectares between two rivers, vineyards and old trees.

Not just a campsite. A new destination in the Saale-Unstrut region of eastern Germany.

Three pillars

What makes this place

Water

Experience · Activity · Taste

Two rivers meet here. The Saale cycle route runs right past the site, a canoe hire is on the grounds, and the Naumburg canoe club is next door. At the centre of the site lies the lake of 1967.

Wine

Experience · Activity · Taste

Saale-Unstrut is one of Europe's northernmost wine regions. The slopes begin within sight; the state winery at Kloster Pforta is a few kilometres away. Vineyard trails start at the site.

Wild meadows

Experience · Activity · Taste

Wet meadows, old trees and the floodplain along the Saale. A large part of the grounds stays green. The concept favours quality of space over the maximum number of pitches.

Stay

A pitch with a view.

120 pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents open on 1 March 2027: each at least 120 square metres, with electricity, among old trees and a short walk from the Saale and the Unstrut. The first tiny houses follow in 2028.

Pitches for the first season can be booked now, for stays from 1 March 2027.

People have been coming here since 1967. We are building the place they remember. Only this time it is made to last the next fifty years.

The Blütengrund has a long history and a serious backlog of repairs. We are taking it over, clearing it out and rebuilding it over several years while staying open.

  • 2027: opening with 120 pitches, March to October
  • 2028: 220 pitches and the first five tiny houses
  • 2029: open year-round, natural swimming lake from 1 May

The lake is not a bathing spot at present. Swimming has been prohibited since 2004. We are restoring it. The planned opening as a natural swimming lake is 1 May 2029.

Who is behind it

From Naumburg, for Naumburg.

Behind Blytengrund GmbH are Torsten General and Ronny Nauhardt. Vision and concept come from Torsten General. He founded and runs Ursprung Saale-Unstrut, which brings together several houses in the region. His work is aimed at a place that can do more than it currently shows: wine, food and landscape brought together so that Saale-Unstrut becomes a destination rather than a road people drive through. His words for it: “Weil es die Region verdient”, because the region deserves it.

Ronny Nauhardt of Exclusive Standard, a workshop for furniture and interior fit-out, is the operator and the driving force behind the rebuild.

The same group runs Domfreyheit by Naumburg Cathedral, the eat and wine bar 51 Grad and the Weinhotel Freylich Zahn in Freyburg: houses where the region's kitchen, wine and hospitality are already at home.
